The new look Gallery Section increased to six pages to reflect the submissions received in the past six months from BiC members. The new look Gallery pages now embrace the "Crete Through the Window" approach to taking pictures - be it from the kitchen window, the bedroom window, the living room window, the car window or your window on the world. Whether you are a BiC member or a visitor to the Brits in Crete web sites, you are invited to submit one or a collection of small pictures. We will accept videos as well. We reserve the final right to publish. All submissions are required in jpg format and copyright must belong to the person sending us the materials. Submit by e-mail.

The BiC Forum is relaunched with the latest YaBB 2.2 version software upgrade, including the latest security. In its new colour scheme, improved navigation on the Forum, a better research button facility and overall faster site access plus the inclusion of an RSS feed of the latest postings that can be displayed on a member's computer desk top. Membership has risen to 1400+. The site is also more SEO (search engine optimization) friendly.

"Bring Madeleine Home Campaign" - the official McCann family organisation, approached BritsinCrete to help with the publicity blitz to find their missing daughter, Madeleine McCann who was believed 'kidnapped' from the Algarve. The help requested is to publicise and distribute a poster of "Maddy" the young Briton, in case she has been abducted to Greece. BritsinCrete has added a dedicated webpage - in Greek - with a downloadable photo feature on this the main part of our website, and used the BritsinCrete Forum as part of its effort to spread the word among shopkeepers, supermarkets and other locations where European tourists are to be found.
